Application Deadline: 2026 Science and Technology Policy Fellowship

Applications are open for the Aspen Policy Academy’s summer 2026 Science and Technology Policy Fellowship. This training program will equip experts, from AI engineers to ecologists to medical researchers, with the tools they need to impact policy.

Important information and dates:

  • The Fellowship will run full-time from June 1-26 in a hybrid format – virtually from June 1-12 and in-person in San Francisco from June 15-26.
  • Applications are due at 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday, February 5.
  • Applicants must be 21 or older, be based in the US, and have science, environment, or tech expertise.
  • Fellows will receive a $5,000 base stipend with an additional $2,500 for those who participate in an optional project phase. Top projects will be eligible for additional awards.
  • The program is intended for those with little to no policy experience.

The in-person portion of the policy bootcamp will take place at Tides Converge in San Francisco. Fellows will then have the option to work remotely part-time on a final project from June 29-August 24, 2026. You can view past fellows' projects here
