The No rtheast Workshop on Energy Policy and Environmental Economics will meet on Thursday and Friday June 13-14, 2019, at the Harvard Kennedy School. The Co nference organizers are Joe Aldy of Harvard, Lint Barrage of Brown, Kenneth Gillingham of Yale, Geoffrey Heal of Columbia, Shanjun Li of Cornell, and Erin Mansur of Dartmouth. This workshop is the latest in a series of occasi onal Northeast Workshops, the most recent at Yale, Cornell, Dartmouth, and Columbia.
The workshop should be of primary interest to Northeast sch olars involved in research in Energy Policy and Environmental Economics. Ou r goal is to assemble a set of papers on a variety of topics, reflecting th e latest advances in energy and environmental economics. We are particularl y interested in papers that examine key policy-oriented energy and environm ental issues and rely on concepts or tools from public, development, macroe conomics, or industrial economics.
The workshop will feature plenary sessions with up to 12 papers with individual presentations (30 minutes per presentation), a discussant, and audience discussion. In addition, we will include a few short presentations (5-10 minutes) by graduate students, giv ing an opportunity to sketch out an area of their current research and high light some central findings.
