Special Instructions for Presenters
- Most sessions include four papers. Each presenter will have approximately 17 minutes for the presentation followed by 4-5 minutes for questions. There are no discussants. The order of presentations will follow the order listed on the program.
- Unless otherwise noted, the session chair will be the last presenter in each session, noted in the program as "Presider". Session chairs are responsible for keeping the session on schedule. Session chairs are also responsible for providing a laptop for the session (as well as any adapters necessary to connect the laptop to a projector).
- Special Provisions for Hybrid Sessions: Some sessions will offer virtual access for attendees. Those sessions will be (are) noted on the program as "Limited Virtual Access".
- If you are presenting in a hybrid session, please repeat questions (from in-person and online attendees) prior to answering them.
- If you are chairing a hybrid session, you will not need to provide a laptop for the session. Instead, a rental laptop will be available.
- Poster Session Presenters: Poster presenters will be asked to stand next to their posters during the poster session—scheduled for Thursday, May 30 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. ET—to answer questions and promote their research. Poster presenters should set up their posters on Thursday, May 30 between 7:15 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. ET. The uniform poster size is 30 inches by 40 inches. Pushpins, foam boards, and an easel will be provided for you to hang your poster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What should I wear? A: During the day, anything from business to casual dress is appropriate. The temperature fluctuates in meeting rooms, so please bring a jacket.
Q: Will there be Wi-Fi? A: Complimentary basic wireless internet will be provided.
Q: What is the cancelation policy? A: Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing and emailed to AERE Headquarters at [email protected]. Requests received by April 30, 2024 will be refunded in full. No refunds will be processed for cancellations received on or after May 1, 2024.
