Abstracts Deadline: 2022 AAEA Annual Conference (ENV Section)
Friday, November 19, 2021
Category: Call for Papers

The ENV Section of AAEA is soliciting proposals for five Track Sessions at the 2022 AAEA Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA from July 31 - August 2.

Track sessions are scheduled throughout the meeting and comprise a number of presentations focused around a common interest area or topic. Those submitting Track Session proposals have considerable leeway in choosing the topic and format of the session. Standard examples of Track Session formats include:

  • Four presentations with no discussants or panelists;
  • Three presentations with a maximum of one discussant;
  • Two presentations with a maximum of two discussants or panelists;
  • A lightning session with eight presentations and no discussants or panelists;
  • A panel discussion with up to 5 panelists.

Four track sessions are co-sponsored with AERE. Sessions may also be co-sponsored with other AAEA sections, and ENV especially encourages submission of co-sponsored proposals.

Specific Track Sessions can also be considered as Invited Paper sessions. Learn more>> Proposals/abstracts for these sessions need to be submitted twice: once through the abstract submission system as an Invited Paper session (see the call for Invited Paper Sessions for more information) and once as a Track Session proposal, along with an indication that it has also been submitted as an Invited Paper Session. If the proposed Invited Paper session is not accepted, it may still be included as a traditional Track Session.

If you have an idea for a Track Session, please submit the following information via email to [email protected] by Friday, November 19th:

  • Session title;
  • Name of session organizer and co-sponsoring section (if applicable);
  • Session description (140 words max);
  • Names of presenters, discussants, and/or panelists;
  • Tentative presentation titles or topics;
  • Current preference between (a) in-person presentation in Anaheim, or (b) preference for virtual presentation.
