The Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE) Board of Directors presents this annual award to recognize authors or co-authors of a publication of enduring quality that appeared at least five years prior to the year of the award. Nominated works are evaluated on their seminal nature and lasting contribution to environmental and resource economics. Place and type of publication are unrestricted. Posthumous awards will not be given. Nominees are not required to be members of AERE. This is a significant honor for both AERE and its recipients. Members and nonmembers alike are encouraged to give thoughtful consideration to nominating publications that have made lasting contributions to the field. The nomination statement should focus on the significance and long-term impact of the publication and should not repeat publication details or eligibility information already provided in the form. The nomination statement may be prepared by multiple nominators, but only one nominator should submit the form on the group’s behalf. Consideration PeriodIn the absence of a new or updated nomination, nominated publications will remain under consideration for three award cycles, beginning with the year of submission. NotificationAward recipients and the nominators of selected publications will be notified following the completion of the review process.
